You need wooden skewers or toothpicks.

Cut the bottom of the cucumber lengthwise so that it sits comfortably on a plate or tray without rolling away. You can then use this section to make the crocodile’s feet.

Make an approx. 5 cm incision on the front of the cucumber and use a knife to cut teeth into the top and bottom.

Then thread skewers onto the top of the cucumber until it is completely covered. Place a cocktail tomato and a mini mozzarella on each skewer.

There are 2 skewers above the snout, each with a mozzarella ball as eyes. You can decorate these with a dollop of softened chocolate or Nutella to make them look even more real.

The recipe is well received by kids and the ingredients can be changed depending on taste, e.g. cocktail wiener and a bunch of grapes or whatever else you like on the skewers. I also like to give this to kindergarten on birthdays instead of cake.
