Ingredients
- 500 grams of common flour
- 25 grams of
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 250 grams of warm water
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
1- To start, we have to make a ferment. This is made by placing the yeast in a cup, adding a pinch of flour, a tsp. of sugar and half a glass of warm water. We mix well and reserve well covered for 10 minutes.
2- After time, put a sieve in a bowl and sift the flour, sugar and flour. We mix these ingredients well.
3- In this mixture, make a well in the center and add the oil. We mix a little and pour all the ferment together with the water and mix well.
4- We knead this dough well for at least 5 minutes. Then we divide the dough into 8/10 buns and cover it with a dry cloth, let it rest for about 30 minutes.
5- Then, sprinkle the countertop a little and knead each bun for at least 7 minutes or until the dough is soft and elastic.
6- We put each bun on a plate suitable for the oven (it is important to leave space for each bun) and with the help of the base of a plate, we flatten it one by one until we obtain the traditional flat shape.
7- We send the bread to a preheated oven at 180ºC for about 10 minutes. After 5 min, increase between 200 to 220ºC.
Cooking time may vary for several reasons. The important thing is that they look golden brown when you take them out.
Recommendation:
You can consume this bread as soon as it comes out of the oven, if not, you can choose to store it in airtight bags for 4 days.
They can also be frozen with the same airtight bags and eaten whenever you want. I recommend taking them out for 5 hours and leaving them at room temperature. Once defrosted, we give it 5 minutes in a medium oven and the result is the same as when you just prepared them.
