

Ingredients needed:
- 1 tablespoon of dry yeast
- 2 spoons of sugar
- 200 ml of milk
- 8 g of vanilla sugar
- 1 tablespoon of orange peel
- 1 or
- 400 g of wheat flour
- 0.5 teaspoons of salt
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 500 ml of sunflower oil
- Powdered sugar, to taste
Method of preparation:
- In a bowl, dissolve the yeast, sugar and vanilla sugar in the warm milk.
- Add the orange peel and beaten egg to the mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add half of the flour and salt, mixing continuously with a silicone spatula.
- Continue adding the remaining flour gradually, kneading the dough until you get a smooth consistency.
- Add the softened butter to the batter and knead well until well incorporated.
- Cover the dough with foil and let it rise for about an hour in a warm place.
- After the dough has risen, punch it to release the air and divide it into 9 equal portions.
- Roll each portion of dough into a thin layer and form the donuts as shown in the image below
- Place the donuts on parchment paper and let them rest under a towel for 30 minutes.
- In a heavy bottomed saucepan, heat the sunflower oil.
- Dip the donuts in the oil along with the baking paper and then remove the paper.
- Fry the donuts on low heat on both sides until golden.
- Place donuts on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
