Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- A pinch of salt
- 100g of sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 100 ml of milk
- 20g of melted butter
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 80g of wheat flour
- 4-5 apples, peeled and cut into thin slices
- Juice of half a lemon to drizzle the apples
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:

- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, beat 2 eggs with a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Add 100g of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar. Beat vigorously until the mixture becomes frothy.
- Add 100ml of milk, 20g of melted butter and the zest of 1 lemon. Mix well.
- Gradually add 80g of wheat flour, making sure to mix well to avoid lumps.
- Peel 4-5 apples, cut them into thin slices and sprinkle them with the juice of half a lemon. Stir the apples gently.
- Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the dough and mix well.
- Place the apple slices in the dough and mix again.
- Take an 18cm casserole dish, line it with baking paper, grease and sprinkle with flour.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, until the cake is golden. Cooking duration may vary depending on the height of the cake.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
