For the dough
420g flour
40g cocoa powder
3 tsp baking powder
200g sugar
2 bags of vanilla sugar
2 eggs
250 g butter or margarine
For the filling
350 g butter or margarine
1 kg low-fat quark
2 bags of vanilla sugar
2 bags of pudding powder, vanilla
4 eggs
250g sugar
Flour, for the work surface
Dough:
First mix the flour with cocoa powder and baking powder and sift into a mixing bowl. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs and butter.
Work the ingredients well with the hand mixer (dough hook) briefly at the lowest level and then at the highest level.
Then knead the dough briefly on a lightly floured work surface. Roll out two thirds of the dough on a baking sheet.
Place a baking frame around it.
Only applies to normal baking trays. Baking pans (high baking trays) do not require a baking frame.
Filling:
Now melt the butter and let it cool (works great in the microwave). Mix the quark with sugar, vanilla sugar, pudding powder and eggs in a bowl using a hand mixer with a whisk. Stir in melted butter or margarine. Mix everything into a uniform mixture, spread it over the dough and smooth it out.
Tear the remaining dough into small pieces and spread over the filling.
For children’s birthday parties or as needed, you can also use cookie cutters to conjure up great things, e.g. the characters from “The Show with the Mouse” for children, or other characters that the child wants.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top and bottom heat) and bake the cake in the middle of the oven for approx. 45 minutes. A chopstick test is recommended as the ovens are different.
