Apple pie in the frying pan without using the oven: an easy dessert full of flavor

Ingredients:

  • 3 Apples, peeled and cut into thick slices
  • 50g of Butter
  • 50g White Sugar (to caramelize the apples)
  • Cinnamon powder
  • 2 eggs size M
  • 75g white sugar for the dough
  • 20ml Vegetable oil
  • 60ml of Milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 120g wheat flour
  • 6g of baking powder

Preparation:

  1. Apple Caramelization:
    • Heat a frying pan over medium heat.
    • Add butter and sugar and mix until completely melted.
    • Place the apple slices in the pan and cook for about 8 minutes, until they start to caramelize.
  2. Dough Preparation:
    • In a bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until you get a frothy mixture.
    • Add the oil in a stream, continuing to beat.
    • Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
    • Sift the flour and yeast directly into the mixture, beating just enough to integrate the ingredients.
  3. Assembly and Cooking:
    • Return to the caramelized apples, add a pinch of ground cinnamon and mix well.
    • Cook for another 2 minutes, then arrange the apples so they are evenly distributed in the pan.
    • Pour the prepared batter over the apples, spreading carefully.
    • Cover the skillet and let it cook for 15 minutes over medium heat. It’s crucial not to open the pan during this time so the pie doesn’t deflate.
  4. Finishing:
    • After 15 minutes, check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the pie. If it comes out clean, your apple pie is ready.
    • Serve hot, straight from the pan, for a tasty and comforting treat.
