500g + 100g + some flour
80g sugar
- 80g sugar
2 packs of vanilla sugar
Salt
75g soft butter - 75 g soft butter
1 egg (size M)
¼ l milk
1 cube (42 g) fresh yeast
500g whipped cream
1 parcel. “Vanilla” sauce powder
Powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation:
1 THIS is how it works, first mix 500 g flour, 80 g sugar, 1 vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt. Add 75 g butter in flakes and egg. Heat milk to lukewarm. Crumble in the yeast and dissolve it in it. Pour into the flour mixture and knead everything until smooth using a hand mixer. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes
- Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Process 100 g flour, 80 g sugar, 1 vanilla sugar, 1 pinch of salt and 75 g butter in flakes, first with the dough hook of the hand mixer and then briefly with your hands to form crumbles
3 Dust the yeast dough with a little flour, form into a roll and divide into 15 pieces. With floured hands, shape into round thalers (approx. 8 cm Ø) and place on the trays. Spread sprinkles on top. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes
4 Bake in a preheated oven (electric stove: 175 °C/fan oven: 150 °C/gas: level 2) for approx. 25 minutes. Let cool down
5 Halve the Streuseltaler horizontally. Mix the cream and sauce powder briefly with a hand mixer at the lowest setting, then beat until stiff at the highest setting. Pour into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe the vanilla cream onto the lower halves of the thalers. Put the lid on it. Streuseltaler with powdered sugar
