Oh, I never could imagine that the REAL cause of type 2 diabetes is not eating too much sugar or carbohydrates, but something different
Type 2 diabetes is a disability in the way the body regulates and uses sugar (glucose) for fuel. This long-term (chronic) condition increases the circulation of sugar in the bloodstream. Eventually, high blood glucose levels can cause disorders of the circulatory, nervous and immune systems.
In type 2 diabetes, there are mainly two interrelated problems at work. Your pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin, a hormone that regulates the movement of sugar in your cells, and the cells don’t respond properly to insulin and consume less sugar.
Type 2 diabetes used to be known as adult-onset diabetes, but type 1 and type 2 diabetes can appear in both childhood and adulthood. Type 2 is more common in older adults, but the increase in the number of children with obesity has led to more cases of type 2 diabetes in younger people.
There is no cure for type 2 diabetes, but losing weight, eating well, and exercising can help you manage the disease. If diet and exercise are not enough to control blood glucose, you may need diabetes medications or insulin treatment.
Symptoms
The signs and symptoms of type 2 diabetes often develop slowly. In fact, you can have type 2 diabetes for years, without knowing it.
