Microwave cheese and yogurt cake. Quick and easy recipe: presentation
Normally, when we go out to eat at a typical food restaurant and they sing to us about the dessert menu, when everyone hears the name cheesecake, everyone’s eyes shine. What is it about these cakes that has us so hooked? It doesn’t matter if they are cold cheesecakes with cookies and jams or baked cakes, their silky texture, their soft creamy cheese flavor and their attractive appearance (which is also eaten with the eyes) end up being our downfall.
I have previously made other cheesecake recipes, both gelatin and sponge cake, and I have made them in the oven, air fryer and refrigerator. I was missing a fundamental appliance that cannot be missing in any kitchen today, and even less so in this busy world where time matters more than ever: the microwave. I give you some advice in the video and in the recipe about how to cook the cake in the microwave, since the times are quite relative depending on the device.
How to make Microwave Cheese and Yogurt Cake. Quick and easy recipe
1.- In a saucepan, heat the caramel ingredients until they are golden in color without burning.
2.- Pour into a microwave-safe mold, spread evenly throughout the base and reserve.
3.- In a bowl, put the rest of the ingredients and beat until you obtain a homogeneous cream without lumps.
4.- Pour into the candy mold.
5.- Cook it in the microwave for 10 minutes at medium power. Then give it 5 minute intervals at maximum power until it is set. In my case it was a total time of 20 minutes in the microwave (10+5+5).
6.- Let it cool to room temperature and then store it in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
7.- Enjoy the soft texture of this cake. You can have it alone, with ice cream, whipped cream… it’s up to you.
My tips for making this Cheese and Yogurt Cake:
– If instead of in the microwave you decide to make it in the oven, cook it at 180º C – 356º F for one hour with the container covered with aluminum foil.
