80 g of sugar
1 egg
200 g of butter
170 ml of milk
with a little salt
1 cube of fresh yeast
1 pack of yeast
650 g of flour
To cover
130 g of butter
4 apples
1 pack of vanilla sugar
For decoration
Sugar is desired
15 g of cinnamon
Instructions
It’s very simple and quick. First prepare a leavened dough for the apple rolls. To do this, take about a teaspoon of sugar and dissolve it in warm milk together with the yeast.
Now mix the butter, sugar and salt, add the egg and add the yogurt.
Then combine the flour with the yeast and knead alternating with the yeast and milk.
Knead the dough again with your hands until it is smooth and elastic, then place it in a covered bowl in a warm place. Leave to rest for 50 minutes.
Now wash, peel, core and cut the apples into cubes.
Now roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured work surface. Preheat the oven to approx. 200 °CO/U.
Now melt the butter and spread it over the dough. The remaining butter will be used for the subsequent decoration.
Then distribute the apple cubes over the dough and sprinkle them evenly with the vanilla sugar.
Now roll the dough lengthwise and then cut it into slices about 3 cm thick. A simply heavenly flavour!
Arrange the slices a little apart on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
The apple sandwiches should now cool completely.
