Ingredients for pickled cucumbers:
- cucumbers – volume for a jar 1 liter;
- onions – pcs.;
- dill umbrellas – 2 pcs.;
- peppercorns – 10 pcs.;
- bay leaf – 2 pcs.;
- water – liter;
- salt – tbsp. l.;
- sugar – 2 tbsp. l.;
- vinegar 9% – 100 ml.
Preparing pickled cucumbers:
We wash the cucumbers and leave them in a bowl of cold water for a couple of hours. Cut the onion into small cubes and chop the dill umbrellas with scissors.
Place 2 tablespoons of onion and dill into a jar, and then compact the cucumbers. Add peppercorns and bay leaves to the jar.
Pour water into a saucepan and begin to bring to a boil over medium heat. At this time, pour salt and granulated sugar into the water; you need to dissolve the granules.
Pour vinegar into the boiling liquid.
Pour the boiling marinade into a jar with cucumbers and close the lid. Line the bottom of a large saucepan with a towel and pour warm water.
Place jars of cucumbers on a towel and bring to a boil. It is recommended to boil the cucumbers for 15 minutes.
If the jars are smaller than a liter, then reduce the time to 10-12 minutes.
After boiling, roll up the jars and turn them upside down. Wrap the jars in a towel and wait until they cool completely.
