Brussels sprouts in cream cheese and mustard sauce

Ingredients:

120 ml broth

1 garlic clove

450 g Brussels sprouts

1 onion

150 g cream cheese

1 heaped teaspoon of mustard

cornstarch if necessary

a little salt and pepper

a little nutmeg, grated

Preparation:

  1. First clean the Brussels sprouts and cook them in salted water.
  2. Then peel the onion and garlic.
  3. Then heat the oil in a pan and fry both ingredients until crispy. Then deglaze with the broth.
  4. Now mix in the cream cheese and mustard and stir well. Finally, remove the Brussels sprouts from the heat, drain and add to the sauce.
  5. Thicken the sauce with starch to the desired consistency and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
