Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 eggs
200 g flour
1 tsp baking powder
150 g butter, room temperature
150 g sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar
120 g almonds, unpeeled, ground
For the topping:
850 g plums, pitted, halved
Sugar, for sprinkling
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 185° C, even with fan.
- Simply prepare a batter from the ingredients for the dough. Line a springform pan (26 cm) with baking paper, clamp the paper in place with the edge. If it is not a coated pan, grease it. Pour in the batter and smooth it out.
- Next, stick the plum halves with the tips into the dough, close together. To be on the safe side, wrap the bottom of the springform pan with aluminum foil (spilled fruit juices are the worst thing for the oven. Make sure that the non-reflective side of the foil is facing outwards).
- Bake the cake for about 1 hour on the 2nd rack from the bottom. Sprinkle with a little sugar before serving. Done!
