My family always looks forward to this! – Layered roast in mustard sauce ❤️❤️

Ingredients
3 gherkins, cut into slices
10 slice(s) of streaky bacon
3 onions, sliced
220g feta
5 roulades
nutmeg
Mustard
Salt
pepper
For the sauce:
420 ml red wine
500 ml beef stock or broth
3-4 tsp hot and grainy mustard
2 onions, diced
50 ml tomato paste
4 bay leaves
oil
Instructions
First, lay down the slice of roulade meat and spread it well with mustard and season with pepper and salt. Now you have to cover with 2 slices of bacon, then spread onion slices and some cucumbers and feta on top.
Then put the next roulade on top and do the same thing, repeat the whole thing until all the roulades have been used up. Next, tie the roast together (nicely with feeling so that nothing is squeezed out) and place it in the roasting pan. Season the outside with a little pepper and salt.
Next, fry the onions in a little oil in a pan for the sauce, now add the vegetables and mustard and let them take on a little color, now add the tomato paste and sweat a little.
Then deglaze with the red wine, bring to the boil and simmer for a moment so that the roots can dissolve. Distribute the whole thing around the roast and pour in the stock. Now cover the roasting pan and bake at around 191°C for around 2-3 hours.
Lastly, take out the roast and remove the ribbons and strain this sauce, season to taste and thicken if necessary. Simply great with everything to combine ❤️❤️ My dears, if you like the recipe please leave a comment!
