No-cook chocolate salami: easy, quick and delicious

Ingredients:

  • 200 g of dry biscuits (such as Digestive or similar)
  • 100 g of butter
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 g of dark chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of bitter cocoa powder
  • Preparation of biscuits :
    • Crumble the dry biscuits into a large bowl, leaving a few larger pieces to give the chocolate salami a crunchy texture.

    • Variations : You can add chopped walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds or dried fruit to the mixture to enrich the flavor and texture of the chocolate salami.
    • Storage : Chocolate salami keeps well in the refrigerator for several days, wrapped in cling film.
    • Egg Safety : If you prefer not to use raw eggs, you can replace them with 100 ml of sweetened condensed milk. Alternatively, use pasteurized eggs.

  • Preparation of the chocolate mixture :
    • Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave.

    • Add the melted chocolate and bitter cocoa powder to the butter and sugar mixture. If desired, also add rum.

  • Cooling down :
    • Place the chocolate salami in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until solid.

    • Once solidified, remove the salami from the refrigerator and remove the baking paper and foil.
    • Roll the salami in icing sugar to give the visual effect of real salami.
    • Cut into slices and serve.
