Ingredients
For the millefeuille:
1 roll of puff pastry (fresh or frozen)
Powdered sugar to taste (to decorate)
For the Chocolate Cream:
200 g dark chocolate (or milk, to taste)
250 ml of fresh cream
2 tablespoons sugar (optional, depending on the sweetness of the chocolate)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Preparation of the puff pastry:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan) or 220°C (static).
Lay out the puff pastry roll on a baking tray lined with baking paper. If you want, you can dust the dough with a little icing sugar for a caramelized effect.
Bake the puff pastry in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Leave to cool on a rack. - Preparation of the Chocolate Cream:
Heat the cream in a saucepan over medium heat, without letting it boil.
Cut the chocolate into small pieces and add it to the hot cream. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and mixed with the cream.
Add sugar and vanilla extract, if desired. Mix well.
Let the cream cool until it reaches a spreadable consistency, stirring occasionally. You can also put the cream in the refrigerator to speed up the process. - Assembling the Millefeuille:
Cut the puff pastry into strips or rectangles of the desired size.
Spread a layer of chocolate cream on a piece of puff pastry and then cover with another layer of puff pastry.
Repeat the process until you have more layers, depending on your preference.
Decorate with icing sugar and, if you want, with chocolate flakes or fresh fruit.
Service:
Serve the chocolate millefeuille immediately, or you can prepare it in advance and keep it in the refrigerator until ready to serve. It’s a perfect dessert for any occasion, and the chocolate makes every bite particularly delicious!
Enjoy your meal!
