Ingredients
450 g flour
5 egg yolks
220 g butter
2 packets of vanilla sugar
150 g sugar
100-150 g powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
First, separate the eggs and mix the egg yolks with the diced butter and the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl to form a dough.
So, to get a particularly smooth dough, you can continue kneading with your hands at the end.
After that, divide the dough into 3 portions and form into balls. Wrap them in cling film and place them in the fridge for about 1 hour.
Next, form sausages from the dough about 1-2 cm thick and use a knife to divide them into 2-3 cm wide pieces and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
After that, the small pieces of dough will not rise any further, so there is no need to keep a large distance between them. Then bake in the oven at 180 degrees top/bottom heat for 12-15 minutes and then leave to cool on a wire rack.
Only when the little cookies are almost cooled, roll them all over in icing sugar. Tip: Store the dream pieces in a cookie tin, they will keep for a few days.
