Ingredients:
4 pieces of feta cheese
2 cloves of garlic
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon herbs of Provence
1 pinch of cayenne pepper
1 pinch of paprika powder, hot
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds, whole
Preparation:
Place two pieces of feta cheese per person in the middle of a piece of aluminum foil about 30 cm long. Season the feta cheese well with the spices indicated. Peel the garlic cloves and mince them with a garlic press. Spread the garlic evenly over all four pieces of feta cheese, then pour the olive oil over them and wrap the feta cheese “tightly” in the aluminum foil so that no olive oil can leak out.
Preheat the oven and bake the feta cheese in the foil at 180 degrees on the middle shelf for 10 minutes. Then serve the foil with the baked feta cheese on large plates. The cheese is eaten straight out of the foil. It’s best to bend the foil up slightly at the edges so that the oil doesn’t run out. This goes wonderfully with a fresh baguette (for dipping the olive oil) and a dry red wine.
